"Techniques change when timing changes. You can debate techniques all you want, but if I have the footwork I can change the timing and rhythm of the fight, and I WILL. This is Pekiti-Tirsia, not 'Pekiti-Stand-Still' - We're always moving."
- Tuhon Tim Waid

Ranking Structure and Progression
Students will be awarded the appropriate rank as they progress further into our training, in accordance to the standards and stipulations established by the Pekiti-Tirsia Kali Global Organization. Periodic testing will be scheduled for individual students who meet the minimum requirements to progress to the next level.

Edge-Impact Weapons: Edged weapons is the primary discipline of the Pekiti-Tirsia Kali System and it includes the ginunting short-sword and knives of various lengths. We also train with sticks and other impact weapons.
Unarmed Combatives: Pekiti-Tirsia Kali has a complete empty-hands fighting system in the form of pangamut (open hand striking, trapping), sikaran (low-line kicking) and dumog (limb destructions, throws and takedowns). The PTK-SMF methodology teaches how to effectively execute these traditional principles in a devastating and ballistic manner.
We also train and teach the following as part of our standard arsenal;
Karambit/Lugod (small sickle-shaped knives)
Palakol/Wasay (Tomahawks, small axes)
Malayu Sibat (long spear) and Bankaw (staff)
Flexible weapons (steel chain, sarong, tabak-toyok, paracord, etc.)
We train students how to properly identify and utilize every day objects like flashlights, pens, books, keys, water bottles, clothing, belts, etc. as weapons of opportunity.
